Veteran musicians Crystal Lariza (Never Come Down, winners of the prestigious 2019 RockyGrass Festival) and Troy Welstad (P!nk, A Fine Frenzy) have teamed up in a fresh take on folk pop. Crystal's honest and beautiful vocals are stunning and draw you in while being supported with a myriad of orchestration and production by Welstad. "To the Wild" is a call to adventure and an invitation to embark on a journey beyond the status quo.
The band co-writes and co-produces most all their songs together in a uniquely collaborative style. Crystal and Troy first did some co-writes back in 2018 at some songwriter camps around Portland, OR. The unlikely pairing of Crystal's raw style with Troy's pop influenced production / writing sparked an original sound and started a collaboration and friendship that became Wallflower People.
